Screen Stars
By the late 1970s, Fruit of the Loom pivoted to supply blank t-shirts to the booming screen printing industry. They decided to create branded blank tees marketed directly at screen printers. Previously their standard blanks just had generic tags with RN #13765 printed on them, but in 1980 the first branded Screen Stars tag was born.
Vintage 1987 reunion t-shirt, Screen Stars, M L
50/50 cotton/poly blend- the material is soft and thin. The tag size is washed out. The actual measurements when laid flat are:
Pit to pit: 20.75 inches
Top of collar to bottom hem in back: 25.25 inches
Excellent condition! The material has a little pilling, but other than that it’s perfect! The letters are felt iron-ons.

Vintage 1980’s Mississippi river paddleboat t-shirt
50/50 cotton/poly blend- nice and soft. The tag is marked S. The actual measurements when laid flat are:
Pit to pit: 17.5 inches
Top of collar to bottom hem in back: 24.25 inches
Good condition- there is some spotting on the front bottom half. You can see it in the third picture. It’s not too big a deal, but it is there.
Vintage 1989 Scouting Jamboree t-shirt, soft and thin
50/50 cotton/polyester blend- soft and thin! The tag is marked XL. The actual measurements when laid flat are:
Pit to pit: 20.5 inches
Top of collar to bottom hem in back: 28 inches
Excellent condition. There is some pilling to the material and heavy wear to the screen print, but other than that it’s great!

Excellent condition- there’s just a small length of the bottom hem where the seam has come undone. Other than that it’s perfect! The emblem is on the back. The front is blank.

Almost perfect condition! The screen is crisp and sharp, has minimal cracking, the material is soft and thin with no holes, stains, or tears.
