Availability: Check Defunkd’s Movie Tee Selection Released: 1988 Fact: A television spin-off of this blaxploitation parody called Hammer, Slammer, & Slade aired in 1990. It too was written by Keenen Ivory Wayans but due to commitments with In Living Color he did not star in it or direct. The pilot was never picked up. Shirt #3: A Clockwork Orange Availability: Check Defunkd for Movie Tees Released: 1971 Fact: Clockwork is adapted from a 1962 Anthony Burgess novel by the same name. Burgess and the film’s director Stanley Kubrick were once pals, however, that relationship quickly soured after the film was released.  Burgress was left defending the film’s glorification of violence and to make matters worse Kubrick was the only author credited in the film. Shirt #2: Sid & Nancy Availability: Currently Available on Defunkd Released: 1986 Fact: Sid & Nancy mostly received glowing reviews but even those who didn’t approve paid respect to the performances by the lead actors. It currently holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 90%.
