What Do I Wear? Part 2
I can look and touch but don’t wear most of my shoes. But there are some shoes I do wear even though they’re true vintage. Skylon T/C from 1993 Nike Air Max 180 from 1991 I can honestly say after wearing a pair of OG Nike’s you will be very disappointed when putting on your feet a pair of Air Max 87 retros… They don’t even come close to OG Nike Air cushioning and wearing comfort…. What Do I Wear?
People ask a lot if the shoes I am buying are being worn… with over 100 pairs of DS Nike vintage shoes (and coming from around 200 pairs) I think people will find it strange that with some exceptions, I don’t wear my shoes… Probably some people will call it “lame”, “stupid”, or will tell me “shoes are meant to be worn”..well, my answer always is: If you collect stamps, would you post an old, sometimes rare stamp on an envelope, and post it? As a kid I entered every sports store for two reasons…. Look at the Nike shoes and to ask to the owner for Nike stickers…. I think a lot of my peers did the same thing….stickers stickers and stickers. At one point I was almost a Nike sticker collector. I put them on my school agenda, my bicycle, my skateboard.
