Def Leppard Hysteria tour shirt - ANVIL BRAND
I just found a Hysteria concert shirt and was wondering if it is the real thing. It is printed on an anvil cotton shirt but has no copyright mark. Were anvil shirts used for concert shirts back then?

Re: Def Leppard Hysteria tour shirt
Most Def Leppard Hysteria shirts that I have come across were printed on Spring Ford tags. I suggest you post a picture of the tag and we'll be able to tell you for sure one way or another.
Re: Def Leppard Hysteria tour shirt
The Hysteria tee in my collection has the 50/50 Springford tag.
I'd be sceptical of a 100% cotton Anvil. Sounds like a repro.
StivTaters is right...need a photo to know for sure.

If the tag looks like this, its a recent reproduction:
I think they started using that tag in the mid 1990's.

that's a modern day repro. sorry
Re: Def Leppard Hysteria tour shirt
Yeah, here's an 80s version of Anvil stolen from Stormcrow's current listings...note the pleasant manicure of this great seller who might consider a career as a hand-supermodel.
I'm pretty sure there was a black based 80s Anvil tag with gold lettering? Anyone?

I have to say, the red blue & white anvil tag Jimmy posted is quite handsome. Never seen it until now!

It looks pretty run of the mill (pun intended). I can't imagine this being attached to anything really old/rare. 90s-today?
Have vintage Elvis tees? Let me know!
Re: Def Leppard Hysteria tour shirt - ANVIL BRAND
Yeah that's what I thought...mid 90s to even early 2000s? Def not from the 80s.

I got the same tag without the small print below the blue stripe on a 2006 tee.
