Okay guys & gals
I bought this "Cabretta" leather jacket in like 1964 maybe 65.
The liner is kinda, well actually it is pretty worn, but otherwise, the condition of the leather is excellent given the age. It is still soft and supple, no tears, rips or such.
The bottom 2 buttons are not the original buttons, but the top two buttons are. Buttons on the end of the sleeve are missing and the pockets have holes in them.
Ideas?

I know horsehide jackets are worth much more - I have never read on how to identify horsehide.

Unfortunately, it's not valuable. Some leather overcoats are desirable but this isn't one of them.
Have vintage Elvis tees? Let me know!

I agree with CrazyBubba. No real value here.CRAZYBUBBA wrote:Unfortunately, it's not valuable. Some leather overcoats are desirable but this isn't one of them.
See my post for an example of the type of leather jacket that commands a high dollar price tag. http://worn75.blogspot.com/search/label ... r%20jacket

Re: 1964 Cabretta leather jacket
In a semi-related tangent, this month I handled a 60s Beck jacket that looked identical. It was surprisingly fragile in comparison to the no names that I usually see. I think that beck (post northeaster) is hugely overrated.
