1994 Pink Floyd wish you were here

Post by PBthree »

Hello!

I am quite new to the vintage world and I am not sure on this one.
The Label does not look like the fake brockum I found on the legit/fake post here on Defunkd, but the print does look darker than other comparables I found online.
Thanks in advance!

I think it's okay, what's the pit to pit? I can also see what looks like single stitch on the arms and double lower hem?

Thank you! Yes that’a correct, it’s single stitch on the arms and double lower hem.
I don’t have it yet in my hands to measure pit to pit, but I’ll share it once I get it here.
Three things I wanted to double check are: 1. I see that the copyright on the print looks a bit moved to the left if compared to similar pieces I found online.
2. The print saturation looks darker and the part on the very left seems almost completely black, always looking at comps.
3. The second “W” of worldwide on the label is slightly moved on the right compared to the “K” of Brockum above (usually I have seen those two being more in line). Not sure we need to get so picky for label legit checks, but just to be sure that’s not a concern.
What you think?
Thanks again

I think you're good, just make sure the measurements make sense for a true Brockum WW when it arrives.

Can you do a shot of just the front print?

Thanks! Good tip to check measures. Do you have the legit Brockum WW measures or any source where I can check it out?
I am asking cause I just saw that post about very accurate Brockum label fakes (from Malaysia I think) and the guy commenting that he personally saw Marilyn Manson “Sex is dead” fakes in their factory.
Well, the seller who sold me this shirt had another Brockum, which is a “Sex is dead” one. This got me suspicious

Can you link me on that post about Brockum fakes?

You can check here:

https://www.defunkd.com/brand/brockum-worldwide/

then click AUTHENTICATION DATA, and get a recent range of chest measurements. Some of them don't have it, but most do.

Sure, here is the link to the post: reddit.com/r/VintageTees/comments/iig1ug/heads_up_you_may_see_a_wave_of_fake_vintage/

In the comments they mention the sex is dead tee reference.
You can also find attached a couple of pics of the sex is dead tee post from my same seller. The selling is price is about 120€, that’s why I am a bit sus here, otherwise the tag seems legit to me (not an expert)

So that reddit thread is a pile of crap. Someone got a hold of some actual Brockum tags, took a photo, then someone else mislabeled/captioned the photo to say it was a new fake coming out.

It's not, those tags in the photo are real.

We talked about it here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6y_Bm7Jwdw/

Now, the tag you just posted, may be a new fake. But from what I can tell, Floyd is real.

Can you take a photo of just the front of the floyd?

And can you link me as to where this MM tee is with that Brockum tag?

Got it thank you!
I’ll share front print pics as soon as I get the floyd delivered (a copule of days max), as well as the pit to pit measurements to complete the legit check.

In the meantime, here is the MM tee link: https://www.vinted.it/items/4958828486- ... 90s-tshirt

Curious to know your thoughts on that one too ;)

Highly suspect this is a new fake Brockum Worldwide tag. Lots of red flags.

When compared to the one on your Pink Floyd, there are many differences. What can you spot?

Also, a user in our Discord pointed out - MMs right eyeball is supposed to be white, but they skimped on printing costs and kept it yellow.
