Nirvana Nevermind Shirt No Copyright

Post by mfin433 »

I am uploading 2 of the same Nirvana Nevermind shirts. Both have Giant tee jay tags except one has a Nirvana 1992 Copyright under licensed to Giant. Why would one shirt have a copyright and the other shirt not? Is one fake?

I think there's a misconception that copyright text or lack of it is an indication of legitimacy. I would focus more on the seller tag, print quality and tee. I havent seen any fakes of that print floating around.

There was another example of this with 80s Maiden tees - search our site:

maiden no copyright

(Please note: Legit checks I do in this forum should not be considered 100% conclusive; I'm simply giving a gut reaction based on the limited information provided.)

I believe both shirts are legitimate, but it is odd to me that when the shirts were printed Giant merchandising decided to put a copyright on one but not the other.
