Silverchair vintage band tee - real or fake?
Just purchased this from a seller on Etsy from Malaysia with great reviews. What gives me pause is the tag has been cut off and the thickness of the shirt compared to the “wear” of the graphic. In his photos the shirt itself looked much thinner and more worn. I haven’t been able to find the graphic online to compare it to. Please help! Real or fake?

Going to dive into this shortly, but can you please link the Etsy account? And what are the measurements of the shirt?

Re: Silverchair vintage band tee - real or fake?
I was able to find 5 more Silverchair tees with this front. Here's a shot of one that's pretty crisp and one that's been worn to shreds.
You can see how the colors on yours are completely off.
I wasn't able to find one with that back though which is odd. Maybe it's rare or maybe it's a red flag. Dig around online and see if you can find that back on another white Silverchair t-shirt.
Also look where the copyright is positioned on these ones, in a completely different spot. Futher, the copyright says "Silver-T," whereas the other t-shirts don't have a dash.
There are definitely some red flags. I would probably hold out on making a judgment until I saw another version of this tee with the same back, if it exists, maybe that would explain the copyright and color issue.
Looking at that closeup of the back lettering - this could be a DTG print. When you run your fingers over the print, is it raised?

Re: Silverchair vintage band tee - real or fake?
Thanks so much for looking into this! Basically my research only turned up the blue/purple graphic as well. I haven’t been able to find any in this color combo or with the Aussie tour cities on the back. The seller claimed the brown logo on the right also authenticates it, but haven’t turned up much info on that in searching either. He was pretty quick to offer a refund minus shipping costs. I obviously want it to be real. I spent quite a bit of money on it, but it just isn’t feeling authentic. Also to answer your question, the lettering on the back is not raised at all. The front graphic is slightly raised.

Would definitely be interested to find another example of the Aussie tour version before making the call. Maybe it's super rare? I just don't know enough about this band or their tees. I'll keep an eye out. I did find a euro tour version that explains some of the color differences (like the guy's shirt not being white) but the colors still aren't accurate and doesn't explain the new location of the copyright.
