This forum has actually one

So does this mean that 2Pac vintage reprint shirts was made in 2014 also? Interesting… I thought that the rap tee reprints started floating after 2018-19? Any thoughts?
Re: Taboo tag info
Good eye. I guess that tag is from the 1990s. Or from the 2000 and someone kept printing the OG design. But agree, that 2pac print is not a fake, that didn't happen until many years later.
That listing has a timestamp from 2014.
Let me dig more on this tomorrow.

Ok thanks! I could swear that ive seen that taboo on some other 90s rap tees which all was legit. However as we know a lot of these 90s rap tees was still printed in the early-mid 00s. Few years ago i saw an old flea market picture from 2006-08 where rastafarri was selling 2Pac 90s tees which had the Against All Odds, Do for Love etc. Need to check if i can find the photo. These are pretty interesting stuff to explore while it comes to finding history of the tags or the shirts

Very cool, how do you know it's from 2005?
Here's another Taboo tag, nice crisp image, I found on another 2pac tee - different design, California Love.
Also found one on an American Idol shirt from 2004, that looks to be a boot.

Re: Taboo tag info
The image desc said the flea market pic was from 2005. So we could say that the taboo tag is from early 00s to mid 00s? But also on the later shirts too but i guess the tupac shirt with taboo is from early 00s
Re: Taboo tag info
Yeah, I think that's safe to say. Very cool—you discovered a potential second generation of bootleg rap tees! I'll do an IG post about it.
Are you on there?
It would be interesting to have one in hand to compare it to the 90s ones. That Taboo tag is pretty intrusive, if removed it could likely be IDd.
Are there any differences?
Did Taboo acquire the screens from Bay Club and such?
Were they the only ones who did this? Or were there others in the early 2000s mix reissuing these prints?
Taboo as a name for a boot brand kinda makes sense. But based on the t-shirt I linked earlier (now included below) they also did their own tees, as you can see this one has the logo along the bottom. So I'm not entirely sold they were Bootleg focused. It's possible the blanks were acquired from Taboo, perhaps it went out of biz.
But at this stage, both are vintage, but it could change the value of them if they can be distinguished.
BTW where did you find the image, so I can credit it?

Re: Taboo tag info
Update on this, we were provided an RN number for Taboo -
70361
which when put in the calculator says it's been around since circa 1981.
company details for RN are
FORTUNE FASHIONS IND. LLC
IMPORTER MANUFACTURING WHOLESALER
EMBELLISHED KNIT TOPS
4700 SOUTH BOYLE AVENUE
VERNON
California
90058-3021
I found them on LinkedIn, and sent a message, but looks as though it may no longer exist, as this is the building in 2023.
