80s. Although I have seen a t-shirt with a late 70s copyright and the yellow velvasheen tag, I'm pretty sure that velvasheen was entirely 80s. The later velva sheens have blue lettering on a white label which has a satin-like finish to it. (see pic below) Literally every other t-shirt that I see ...
