Thanks in advance for the answers! - When measuring pit to pit, do you measure from the intersection of the seam from one pit to the other? Or is it the natural "lay" of the pit? (I have some shirts where the seams were off, or the shirt stretched from wash/wear so this might throw off the vintage ...

If I see a single line of thread on the outside of a shirt (on the bottom hem or shirt sleeve), but the inside stitching looks like a double stitch - what type of stitching is this, single or double? I am going with the assumption that seeing a double row of threads on the outside of the shirt is ...

Hey there!
Wow, didn't know there's so much to know about vintage shirts. I have quite a few I've worn, but stashed away from the 80's and 90's. Lot's to ask.
