Re: Problems on Ebay with labels
I've had many legit shirts with that label. Always Euro tour shirts. The reason I understand for these being on euro blanks has to do with the crazy high import taxes artists would have to pay to bring the shirts with them across borders. Cheaper to just get them printed in that country.

Did you ever think the day would come when you'd rather find a Sonic Youth shirt in a thrift store than a 60s Beatles shirt? Geesh.

Re: Malay/Thai Buyers w/US Addresses
We've seen a bunch of those lately too. We love them. All the safety of domestic shipping but to an International Market (even though I can't even remember when our last missing International package was). We used to accept packages for Malay customers. They would have their packages sent to us and ...

A couple of years ago when I first saw that tag in a thrift store I thought I had hit the jackpot haha. It still stops me in my tracks when I see it now (which is all of the freakin time).

Urban Outfitters Kent State sweatshirt. Wondering what everyone's opinions on this are. I'm finding that most of the articles I'm seeing aren't accurately describing what the sweatshirt actually is and that might be influencing peoples opinions.

Re: Is Italy Shipping Safe Now? What's unsafe?
We accidentally cleared our blocked country list and have sold a bunch of stuff to Italy, Russia and some countries I've never heard of. Was a little worried, but everything arrived. I feel like the increased business of shipping everywhere more than makes up for the occasional loss. We've had way ...

Thanks Inmind!! Get out there and do it. Worst thing that can happen is you'll hate it but still end up with a bunch of cool stuff.
Yes sir Memory, that's the one. Well worth the money. I don't put 100% faith in it, but use it more as another opinion.

Re: Towncraft JC Penney Label
1964-1971 are supposedly the years the "atomic p" was used. Much of dating Pennys stuff can be done by how they wrote Pennys. All caps Penny's with apostrophe is pre 1963. atomic p until 1971, that's when they added the JC back to it. So, if it has JCPenny, it's post 1971. (disclaimer: I'm basically ...

Loving this label. Not sure it's actually related to Sportswear though (this label says Gastonia N.C. on back).

We never really added the tag words MAD MEN to many of our midcentury style clothing, but one we had tagged that just got removed for a policy violation. Just a heads up.

What part of Tennessee? We're in Knoxville. We often let bands crash at our place since we know what it's like to be on the road and not have a place to stay. Hit us up if you're in our area.

Re: Russell Southern Company?
The shirt isn't anything special (unless you're into collecting improper use of apostrophes), but I thought the tag was cool. I was thinking 70s also. The shirt definitely has that 70s feel, but was having trouble finding info on Russell Southern to match that. 100% cotton and measures 19.5" pit to ...

According to this, the Atomic P and dropped apostrophe dates the shirt to 1971 or before.

Re: Batman 1966 Tshirt
I could be wrong (and probably am), but I thought Penny's only used that style of "P", sometimes referred to as the Atomic P until the mid 70s. Also, I think it was 1970 when they dropped the apostrophe. Would love to learn more about Towncraft though.

What's your opinion on this one Jimmy? Weird to be making Bicentennial shirts years after it happened, but 1976 is super early too.

Re: Alcatraz Beach Club Tri Blend
Tri blend sweatshirts pull a little more than other blends, but not as drastic an increase as t-shirts. Sweatshirts are more expensive to ship also, but I'd say $20 if you can actually see the word rayon on the tag and you're wiling to sit on it for a bit.

Most sellers use USPS, and USPS has kind of been sucking lately. Their occasional delayed deliveries have been ...
