Re: BVD 70s?

Sorta related question.
In what year were garment manufactures required to list the fabric content in percentages? I know at some point it switched from "all cotton" to "100% cotton" etc...
I read it somewhere a while back and haven't been able to find it again.

Re: Hello... what vintage shirts do you actually wear?

Random white label Screen Stars tees. But nothing too pricey. I don't want to flip out when I spill BBQ sauce all over it.

BBQ stains do however = WASTED!! Worn to perfection = double the value

Re: Raiders Blue Bar

I priced it high. I'd rather let this one sit around the store and look pretty. I'm a sucker for Raiders gear. I've been buying bulk from a guy I met on a vintage trip a few hours from Tennessee. Working out very nicely. Scored over 300 random Screen Stars shirts in 2 trips. Yeah, I was totally ...

Re: Most you've ever spent on a shirt?

I sent pictures when he authenticated the piece. I'd definitely feel comfortable with my purchase if the pics were published at some point. My heart goes pitter pat when I daydream of this unrealistic fantasy. (usually, I'm skipping through an airbrushed meadow with Mouse chasing butterflies wearing ...

Re: Most you've ever spent on a shirt?

That Stanley Mouse sweatshirt that made a cameo on the forum a while back. Had the Mouse studios authenticate it. Had to own it after that. I probably paid too much for it, but I loved the content and knew I wouldn't get a second chance at it.

Re: Is there a market for non-pop culture-related vintage tees?

Depends on how much you feel your time is worth. Lots of random shirts will sell in the $10-$15 range. If buying them to sell, you will probably need to let them sit for a while and sell to the right buyer. Localized shirts will often sell to people in that area. Hometown appeal. Lots of buyers like ...

Re: Most you've ever spent on a shirt?

Dropped $700 on a sweatshirt.... that I then placed into a ziplock bag, then into a trash bag, then into a plastic bin, then to the back of the closet.

Blocked bidders

A partner and myself block all buyers that have reported items as not received or were deadbeat and did not pay. Anyone else want to post their lists and compile a master list of the buyers that make our lives hell?? Could save us all some future heartache... and a few gray hairs. 10daym ...

Earliest date on black tag SCREEN STARS

Just wondering what the earliest dates are on the black tag Screen Stars tees. Just found one dated 1987. Not a copyright date either, for an actual event.

Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?

Before reading this thread, I was looking at some of AC listings and was a bit suspicious. I simply asked if a shirt was original and about the tag, but received no answer. I decided to bid anyway and just take the risk only to find they had blocked me from bidding on their items. Guess they work on ...

How you score.

Of course I don't expect anyone to spill any top secret info or anything, but just curious how other collectors/vendors enjoy getting the goods and what things are like in other regions. I live in the South (US), and my favorite way is to do multiple day Thrift Store adventures. I live in my car for ...

wtf?
Shirt feels like wife beater....has lace .....and has a Screen Stars tag I've never seen. Looks like bootleg tag, but who in the world would want to bootleg Screen Stars in 1984?

Oldest PRINCE concert shirt?

The PRINCE experts think this could be his earliest known concert shirt. He was on his 1st ever tour and was playing smaller clubs. Tour started Nov 5 1979. The concert on the shirt was a 1-off show in Nashville with only 7 previous concerts before this date. http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc191 ...

Re: Mr. Cooper......AGAIN.

Yeah, I won't be wearing this one. It's NOS. I'm building a collection of vtg music related shirts for my 2 year old son. I think of the things I wish I could of had from my dad's youth and it's his records and t-shirts. The best one in the collection so far is a NOS 1979 Prince concert shirt. The ...

Re: Mr. Cooper......AGAIN.

Yeah. Was expecting screen print. Not too familiar with heat transfers, but do they fill the entire area of the image? I guess what I'm asking is on this shirt, all of the black in the image is from the shirt and you can feel the fabric, where the rest of the design feels very synthetic. My idea of ...

Re: Post original family/friend pics in vtg tees

That was pre-rat tail for me. More like the modern "Hipster Mullet". But I eventually slimmed it down to the Rat Tail..... and used those tiny fluorescent rubber bands you got from the orthodontist to let "the ladies" braid it. Pretty sure the only reason I didn't cut it off was because girls were ...

Post original family/friend pics in vtg tees

I love flipping through old family pics and seeing the sweet clothes. Just found these of my cousin. At the time, I thought he worshiped Satan.
