Re: handmade FDNY 70s' Bklyn firehouse Cuckoo's Nest tee

The orange may have been fill in color using a permanent marker (the yellow also). It doesn't look from the print that the red is a marker. If the shirt said Brooklyn or NYC anywhere on it, it would definitely get more interest.

Re: Public Enemy, Cypress Hill & Sick of it all

Vintage PE shirts are in demand, and can go anywhere from $100-$200 on up, and an ultra rare one can go much higher. I'm not sure how rare yours are. Most PE shirts being sold today are overpriced Supreme or garage repros (worded to make it sound vintage...until you click & see a "pick your size ...

Giant/Tultex shirts, from my experience, have been early to mid 90's. I'm assuming the tag says Made in US.

Re: Ricky Scaggs tee - Please help with value/date?

Without a tag, it's hard to pin down exactly. The graphics look straight out of the 80's, though. Country music and NASCAR are two areas I avoid if possible. NASCAR product is just over-produced, and their fans aren't enamored with vintage shirts. Plus, they're tight with the buck. Country music ...

Re: Run DMC 80s Tshirt

It looks like a legit 80's Adidas tag from the RDMC "My Adidias" era (1986). It has a lot going for it....the NYC skyline with the Twin Towers, the Adidias Trefoil logo, the band/shoe company tie in, the Adidas tag, the XL size. The RDMC logo has been used to death by everyone in recent years ...

Using the below logo sequence found at deelynx.com as a guide, it appears the shirt was manufactured sometime after 1992. The somewhat larger C is the clue.

W T Grant was an American retailer that operated for 70 years before going under in 1976. So any Grants tagged items you have are '76 or earlier.

It's not licensed by the team or NHL. It appears to be a local league jersey with letters applied by a local screen printer. Of little value other than nostalgia value for Shawn.

Re: Allman Brothers 1979

It appears to be a legit t-shirt from that era. Jimmy can give you a better range, but I'd list it at $150 with offers. This was technically the beginning of their reunion era, but few shirts from their pre-reunion era (esp. their time before Duane Allman was killed) exist.

Re: Radiohead Pablo Honey 1993

I have an Anvil Made in USA tag from that era. Can't read the small print, but it looks legit to me. Lack of tour dates/cities and the purple color are it's main drawbacks. This is pre-W.A.S.T.E. Radiohead.

Re: New band tees

If you like the band, collect and wear them...time will tell how collectible they are. We're in an infernal hip hop age where there are few rock bands that command much interest beyond their regional area. I'd avoid the generic band tees and focus on those with specific tour date shows on the back ...

Re: Russell Southern Company?

Russell used the Russell Southern name in advertising their jerseys at least up to 1968, and probably into the 70's. So the early '70's date is probably correct.

Re: Robin Trower 1985 Beyond the Mist tour tee

Everything that Jimmy J said. Probably not a lot of Trower stuff online, so you can price it at higher end ($75-100) and wait. If no interest (on Ebay you can gauge interest by the number that have it on watchlist) lower it in $20 tiers. At least that's how I'd play it. Good luck.

Re: Led Zeppelin 1977 US Tour tee?

Without a tag, you have to look at the print. Does it look generic? American Eagle, Lucky Brand etc specialize in faux vintage tees i.e. Joe's Boxing Parlor or some such gimmick. True vintage are usually going to be more specific, to an actual place or event. Also look for small print and the ...

Possibly, though I've never run across any. Perhaps some true vintage bootleg items are floating around. Official merch, I'm not sure. The only ones I saw on Ebay were retro babydoll & women's styles from only the last 10 years (with a few unscrupulous sellers trying to pass them off as period ...

Re: Summer love Haight Ashbury tshirt

Nice graphic. IMO, anniversary shirts aren't as in demand as the original event. If this was a reunion concert tee with SF bands of the era (i.e. Jefferson Airplane/Starship) it would command more. Perhaps $50 with offers. Or maybe start higher and gauge the interest, and lower the price if needed ...

I believe Giant by Tee Jays preceded the regular Giant tag. I assume the Giant by TJ tags show up on some later 90's shirts as they were merely depleting their remaining inventory, which was mixed in with the regular Giant tagged shirts.

Re: Iron Maiden, Megadeath & Metallica T-Shirt Find, Need Help

Nice shirts. Probably the best way to photograph the shirts is flat on the floor, since it gives a better view of the sleeve size...however getting the camera in the right position can be a pain in the neck (not to mention you may have to sweep or vacuum the floor beforehand). However, I usually put ...
