I sold a shirt with this same design on a Hanes Beefy that I determined was from the early 90's. I've never seen this tag before.

They were established in 1978 so it might be genuine. Maybe they just contracted someone who wasn't very good at it and sold them anyways way back when?

BTW just because it's probably from the 90's doesn't mean it's worthless. If Harley fans are willing to pay like almost 30 bucks for a brand new shirt at a shop then some would probably be willing to spend half that on an older one that is in good condition.

The ones most commonly seen started coming out in the early 90's. I have seen pics of Harley Davidson tags with a different design that are earlier though.
