Is ebay the best site to get the most $ for a rare tee?
Is ebay the best site to get the most $ for a rare tee? (Hoping for a bidding war). Or are there better selling sites out there? I suppose Instagram is an option, with a set price. But as far as auction...do a lot of serious vintage tshirt buyers still go to ebay first? Has anyone ever run an ...

Buster Crabbe Pools, Champion blue bar tee - info?
Can't find another example of this shirt anywhere. Buster Crabbe Pools ringer t-shirt, Champion blue bar tag (does that mean 70s?). The pool company was founded in 1952 - I assume it was an employee-only shirt. Crabbe btw, was an Olympic champion swimmer and then played Flash Gordon etc. in ...

Another revisit, as I never offered it for sale. Now, of course, Cosby is "newsworthy" (though not in a good way).jimmyj wrote:Around $200 with a best offer button? nothing to really compare it to.

70s seems right. Maybe Spiderman is 80s, just not sure which tags apply to which tee. Star Trek $75 with offers Bruce $200 with offers (although judging by previous bruce shirts, doesnt seem to be huge in demand right now) all others $150 with offers But you can price them any way you want - I ...

Hi Jimmy, jimmyj wrote:There's a market for it and most things americana 1970s. Not sure how to price it...but price it high with offers and see if anything rolls in.
Revisiting this post....should I price it at, say, $200.? More? Less? Thanks mucho!

Re: Grateful Dead Avalon 1966 - assume repro
It doesn't make any difference. Just means they were probably printed at different places that used different brand blanks. OK cool...so the fact that one has "BIG PRODUCTIONS - SAN FRANCISCO" printed on it, and the other doesn't, isn't relevant in any way in terms of value? (I ask only because I ...

Someone else has the exact same shirt for sale on Etsy for just under $50USD. It's likely worth about that. Thanks again for the tip. Two things about the one listed on etsy that are different from mine, wondering if it makes a difference in any way? - their tag is FOTL, mine is Hanes Beefy Tee ...

The Patroons tee, Durack tag
This has seen better days. I've worn it to death - it's SO confortable - and am ready to part with it. I figure The Patroons was some sort of team? I'm in upstate NY - there was an Albany Patroons basketball team, but I'm not seeing this logo associated with them. It depicts a sword and a tricorn ...

Re: handmade FDNY 70s' Bklyn firehouse Cuckoo's Nest tee
The orange may have been fill in color using a permanent marker (the yellow also). It doesn't look from the print that the red is a marker. If the shirt said Brooklyn or NYC anywhere on it, it would definitely get more interest. Good point. Let's say, hypothetically, it DID say Bklyn or NYC on it ...

Re: Grateful Dead 1987 SPACE YOUR FACE + tie-dye questions
Beauty print! I would try pricing higher with offers. There's some 90s dyes thats fetch in the $400 range...so worth a shot. I have a feeling those are being driven by celebs wearing them...and right now baggy is the style...so given its 80s size...may not apply but still great for GD collectors. I ...

Re: Who the Fuck is Mick Jagger? tee
I like to price high and kinda sit on things for a bit, especially t shirts, but that's me. If it were me, I'd go $150ish with offers. You never know. If it sits for a while and you get a decent $50 offer or so, you might just take it to get rid of it. Thanks! I agree, I like to start on the high ...

Re: Grateful Dead Avalon 1966 - assume repro
Really depends on the clientele and location. I've been selling at vintage shops for years. Some things you can sell for much more than you would selling online. Other things you might only be able to get half the price you would online. You need to work out what YOUR customers would be happy to ...

Given that this is an older one (let's say late 80s), what sort of value are we looking at? Thanks.

handmade FDNY 70s' Bklyn firehouse Cuckoo's Nest tee
Pretty sure this handmade t-shirt was made with magic markers or some sort of marking pen. Does that tend to increase or decrease the value of a tee, or does it all depend on other factors such as age, subject, artwork, condition, etc.? This 1970s t-shirt (I looked up the label, Fruit of the Loom ...

Re: Who the Fuck is Mick Jagger? tee
Me again. I see your Hanes guide IDs this tag as early 90s, which is super helpful, thanks. I'm also seeing it on certain (other) tees online as 80s (and a 1991). Does that sound about right? I assume that'd affect the value vs. a contemporary shirt.

Yes, I realize versions of this are available basically new, but with a FOTL tag. This particular one seems vintage in feel, thinness, shape. It came from a collection of mostly 70s/80s Stones tees and memorabilia. The tag is Hanes 100% Cotton. Appreciate any info on WHEN it could be from, and value ...

I assume this Grateful Dead Family Dog 1966 Avalon tee is a repro, based on the Hanes Beefy T tag and the way it feels, etc.
Might it be 80s?
And, value?
thanks! (another Dead shirt which I'm pretty sure does have value up next).
