Re: Help! - Rare Beatles/Lennon? tee - Modern Girls New York

You rule man! The shirt is shockingly long in person, especially in comparison to the small sleeves and modest pit to pit ratio, so I think it's safe to say a sleep/night shirt was used. Also, a girl rocking it with a belt as you mentioned would be a pretty 80s look. Hopefully someone out there can ...

Re: Help! - Rare Beatles/Lennon? tee - Modern Girls New York

tag.jpg Hey Jimmy, I would really appreciate that! Here is a pic of what you're asking. The Modern Girls tag is only sewn on the sides. It looks like the original shirt tag was removed but a little bit of white and red threads remain. The little tag on the side just says "Hand Washable Drip Dry ...

Help! - Rare Beatles/Lennon? tee - Modern Girls New York

Hey there - Got my hands on this tee that's totally stumping me here, and any help would be greatly appreciated! It appears to be John Lennon on the shirt. The design, printing and label are hand made. Strange part is that It's printed on a night shirt?? 23" x 36.5" Attached are some pics... The ...

Re: Dead Kennedys - Extreme bootleg or?...

Jimmy, Thanks for the super fast reply, much appreciated! After closely scrutinizing, all the faded highlights look spot on for where they should be on a crispy original. They're just way more faded then any of the other shirts I've seen which raised an eyebrow. Other then that, the shirt is in ...

Dead Kennedys - Extreme bootleg or?...

photo 5.JPG photo-2-3.jpg photo 1-4.JPG Hey, I'd love to get some insight on this Dead Kennedys shirt? Not sure if it's an original, a vintage bootleg, or some extreme wacky counterfeit? My guess is that it's a vintage bootleg from the 80s from the Steadman Super 50 tag and wear on the print... I ...

Re: Photographing Tees

Just scored this for free from a studio/shop that was moving. It's about 13" pit to pit. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Re: Photographing Tees

Good to hear you like the mannequin. Does yours have arms? As a collector and wearer, sleeve size can be important. In my opinion huge sleeves can look awkward on an otherwise nice fitting shirt, so perhaps laying flat gives the buyer a better idea as opposed to using a hanger or torso with no arms ...

International shirt brands - collectable?

Hey all, Are there any international vintage brands/tags you look out for? I came across this souvenir shirt the other day with a French Canadian label "WAM" that looks pretty 80s. Anyone have any info on this label? I'd love to hear some opinions in general about digging around for worth wile ...
