Re: rainbowgasoline has disappeared

What a douche. Seeing a picture of this guy makes me hate him even more. A hammock, really? Yeah i just happen to have 8 of the same vintage shirts in perfect condition in all different sizes for your convenience. I called him out on it and he replied. "No-wrong." I had no choice but to believe him.

Re: academy clothing vs stormcrow

Missing tag, too clean, and extremely dark print. I was 99% sure but just had to ask the pros, thanks for all the feedback guys.

Why are most modern day bootlegs so much darker? Why do they have a hard time getting the color right? And what's the deal with airline food?

Re: academy clothing vs stormcrow

They couldn't even get their hands on a true original to make their copies from? Lame.

Will filing a claim help to aid in the hanging of these guys or is there no stopping them?

Ps. I would just buy stormcrows but its a couple inches too small for me :)

Re: academy clothing vs stormcrow

We already know it's a repro broham. Wondering if it's a parking lot bootleg though of the time. Judging from the email about the mysterious missing tag i have a feeling its a modern day fake. This shirt isnt popular though, why would they waste screens on it?

Re: academy clothing vs stormcrow

Its so obvious I'm gonna receive an authentic vintage but just for shits and giggles ill post detailed pics when I receive it. :p

It looks like the back bottom hem is coming undone. Either its an old bootleg or they really went through some trouble to rough it up. Bitches.

academy clothing vs stormcrow

The geniuses at Academy Clothiers had this shirt listed. I offered them 30 bones because i was at work and on my blackberry when i acted. didn't see the seller. Later found out it was these dickwads, but for 30 bucks i can find some use for the shirt, even if its completely bogus. ANYWAY, i forgot ...

Re: CLEANING VINTAGE SHIRTS

Don't know how i missed the guide on the site, sorry jimmyj. Very helpful stuff. I'm just paranoid, i'll probably leave it be if theres not a simple fix. I'm pretty impressed with the way that guys Slatanic shirt came out. I would have thought the dye would ruin the graphic. Looks like it's as easy ...

Re: fixed-price items

Excellent point. I just don't see how some of the items will ever sell in this life time with other sellers selling the same shirt, size, quality, for market or slightly above market, not 10x the market price. Ive seen the exact shirt come and go for way less from other sellers, i just didn't have ...

Re: Post your most obscure band t-shirts

I know this subject has been mentioned in passing on this forum. These groups have faded from memories, and into obscurity. Yet they live on in rag bales and on thrift store racks. It's always exciting to find a shirt from some band you've never heard of, but when the listings languish, it's ...

Re: Wu Tang Forever

Wu jumped the shark with that double album. It even included some crappy "interactive" shockwave CD-ROM you could play on your Windows 95 based Gateway Multimedia PC (you know, the one with the big speakers hanging of the sides of the CRT monitor?). Now this one is classic! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws ...

Re: fixed-price items

What are your guys thoughts on fixed prices from sellers that are just F*^$king ridiculous? Things you've seen that aren't even that rare. Obviously they can try to sell it for whatever they want, they own the shirt. But i've had my eye on a few shirts that have been up for almost a year now that i ...

Re: Vintage T-shirt Sizing and Value

I always seem to find shirts i'm looking for in a L or XL. And i'm a small so a vintage medium (70s or 80s) fits me perfectly and is ALWAYS harder to find for me (the collector) and more expensive when they do pop up. I'm guessing maybe when they printed up the shirts they ordered more in the bigger ...

Re: CLEANING VINTAGE SHIRTS

I guess it doesn't bother me awhole lot, i just purchased it for over $50 and obviously am ok with the stain. It's a very rare shirt especially for the size (an 80s medium). I like stuff that looks all beat up to hell, but i was considering trying to clean it up just to insure it stays wearable for ...

I really like this thread, i think it's super helpful. Could we maybe get a sticky of a materlist of fake sellers at the top that could be added to once the board definitly weighs in that they're selling bootlegs (wither it be all or some)

Hanes Heavy Weight 50/50 blend in the 80s?

I recently won this auction off of ebay. I know its probably a bootleg of the original since the original is in color and this is black and white. But i was hoping it was at least a bootleg from the same era. The seller claims its from the 80s on a Hanes heavyweight 50/50 blend. Did Hanes even make ...

I should of specified i was going for non-licensed repro discussion. People claiming is vintage when its really not. More or less which ones do you think alot of people "not in the know" have been fooled by shady sellers. Although licensed talk is interesting too!

most repro'd shirt

I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on what shirt they believe has been reproduced the most to date. (either sellers being up front that its a repro or trying to pass a fake off as vintage). My two cents, The guns n roses banned "rape scene" shirt. What does everyone think? http://991.com ...

LA Guns No Mercy Shirt (picture inside)

Theres alot of fakes for this shirt, i'm looking for it in size M or anything that measures 18in pit to pit give or take an inch. Re: LA GUNS shirt, check this out

LA Guns was never hot lol, but if they were hot it was back in the day when half of GnR was in the band. I still don't get why their shirts go for 80+ dollars. I saw them last week for 10 dollars and there was about 20 people there. I think its the whole 80s metal vintage T craze. Anything with a ...
