Handpainted WWII Deck Coat

Post by CRAZYBUBBA »

More show and tell!

This is a WWII USN jacket owned by someone who later served in the Airforce (one it was formed) and continued to use his old jacket, or so I think. It's got a painted back, the name of the owner on the sleeve and his group squad's insignia. Check it out:

PS: You guys should post more in non-T-shirt categories. I'm starting to feel like a spammer :(

This one I found at work so it'll be shipping in a bale this month and up for sale in Manhattan circa late February.

I listed the other jacket with a first bid at $750. I was looking at good glass display cases but I think I may be better off donating it to my Alma Mater or an aviation museum than selling it for a bargain.

Pretty similar. I'd guess yours would do better since its in better condition, and its got that sweet custom paintjob on the back.

Yup, it looks like the same jacket. Hermosa, you have a great knack for finding these things on ebay.
