Pinbacks, hat pins, lapel pins, etc. does anyone have any resources for dating them? Sometimes there is a date in tiny text around the rim, or at least the manufacturer name but a Google search is usualy no help.

Buttons/pins are tough. You may have to go by condition, font, colors, style etc. The DC-10 button is cool & probably from the 70's (the aircraft was produced from around 1970 to the mid-80's). The Oregon Beavers, Colorado & I Am Loved appear to be 70's as well. Hang Ten has been around for 50 years, but I'd put that pin around 70's/80's. Is that a McDonalds pin? The others I'd say 80's or later. Best bet is to check Ebay auctions for clues.
