Hey experts, I've never seen this Screen Stars Label. What era is this? I took a stab at 80s/90s.

I think mid to late - I have found they have the same sizing as the standard screen stars tag - so no real difference except for the blue on the font. Maybe just wanted to upgrade the tag.

Screen Stars Best was introduced in 1987 - I think that's when they first started boosting the sizes up.

I've seen some foreign SS tags but - Spanish - El Salvador - first for me too!

J, you positive about S.S. Best being introduced in 1987? I have a Hands Across America 1986 shirt with actual date on it on a black tag Best. It's nothing special, and definitely not worth bootlegging. Not sure why they would make a shirt after the event, but maybe. Check a check check, check check it out.

Could be! 87 seemed to be the earliest date the gang in the forum could find the tag on...never had an official documentation of the screen stars timeline. Perhaps its even earlier but this tee could even be commemorating the date...which might be a stretch or it could be from 1986.

Definitely something to keep an eye on. Originally I thought SSB was all 90s so the plot thickens...good eye!

The blue on font is for 100% cotton.

I had a wrestling tee for an event that took place in '86 on SSB tag too. Still on the hunt for anything earlier!
