According to the RN calculator - estimates it was created in 1955.

WPL says "WASHINGTON MILLS CO" of NORTH CAROLINA.

This tag rings a bell, but odd that it's on this shirt. What's the pit to pit?

BUT the RN indicates a company out of NY.

REINSTEIN-BERGER INC, NYC.

None of this makes sense.

WPL is for wool related products, so odd that it's even listed, which could indicate someone is going out of their way to make it seem realistic.

Taking a deeper look at the print - this could be a modern Thai creation.

Or maybe it's the original vtg boot they copied, it doesn't match the thai one exactly. There's no copyright, and the figure on the back appears to be more gold. I couldn't find any other versions that weren't modern boots.

Have encountered this again on another Slayer tee and appears to be a complete modern counterfeit. This tag threw me because I feel like I've seen legit ones before, from the 1980s, but I can't track any down due to how generic they are. I'll update this post if I ever do.

From Hikki:

This tag and shirt are all 100% modern fakes. It is also rampant on Japanese auction and flea market sites. It is sold with the tag cut off and sold falsely as vintage. The person who believed in the shirt and bought it said it was vintage and posted it on Instagram. It's a negative spiral.
