Vintage T-Shirt Forum & Community Authentication Appraisals

Does anybody know if this shirt/tag is in fact vintage, and if so, what era it's from? It's in really good shape, so I've struggled trying to pinpoint how old it is. Thanks in advance for any help!

Never hear of "1440". I've similar fonts on shirts from the early 80s. Quick glance at ebay, someone attempted to sell a 1440 shirt, didn't sell for 99 cents.
