Blue Levis Tag

Post by Fatandyz »

I've found a couple of levis shirts with this tag. I found a website that dated this tag on this western shirt as 1960s. Is that accurate?

What was the website? What were their reasons for dating it as such?

These (to my understanding) are usually 70s. Like other vintage shirts, you can use the collar, care tag, material etc to date it.

this shirt was on vintagetrends.com. After further searching on their site, I found another western shirt with this tag and they have noted it to be 1970's. The shirts I picked up were two tee shirts with Cowboy scenes on them - they both had were 50/50 cotton/poly blend and both had this style of levis tag.

T-shirts? That's interesting, I'd love to see them. I'm not sure if the levi's company used it on t-shirts. T-shirt gurus?

The graphic on both shirts feels and looks like they have never been worn or washed. No wearing on the tags. What's the verdict?

nice t-shirts. latter one is my taste. they are made for promotional purpose? i once
heard that Levi's made promotional tees that have picture of their advertising poster on it. the ad posters chosen are famous ones since old day. they are really cool and rare.

"RARE Vintage LEVIS San Francisco Promo Tee Shirt 1970s"

70s shows up for people when they search of 1970s

VTG shows up for people searching for vintage (UK ppl excepted)

I'm not sure about the relationship between tee and t-shirt.

Good luck.

Thank you - I actually have been using those abbreviations. I don't know why I spelled it out on this one.

Any suggestions on a starting price?

1 day auction, start price $.99, send bubba a link

I think this may have to wait for the right buyer. I'd probably wouldn't put it on the auction block with a low first bid.

what amount would you start it at or what amount would you suggest for a fixed price? I planned on listing each shirt separately.

I don't really know alot about resale prices, but I can't imagine that many people search ebay looking specifically for 70s Levi's T-shirts. I'd be interested to see what the sellers on the forum have to say.

I'm thinking I'll start these at about $50.00 on a 10-day auction.
