These are the same ones that I've been trying to understand for the last day or so.

nice!

I would say put WBC and WBA in the title - instead of the word 'mystery'. In the sub title they aren't search-able.

and the BIN is kinda low - some of these Adidas shoes really fly - especially with something so rare.

These Adidas wrestling shoes sold for $300 and I have seen them before:

Alright. I've upped the BIN to $300. Although I hope that someone gets to own these through the democratic process of bidding and may actually wear this to their matches. I think the BIN serves the function of telling people that these are special, more than telling them that I expect all of that money.

Can you take another look at the auction title and tell me which word you think I can drop for WBA/WBC? I JUST found a link that says that pro-speced shoes are also a big seller and can go upto $600 so I'm not sure that I can drop that. I'm moving in favor of dropping trefoil, thoughts?

It looks good now - Trefoil isn't important. But if you need a bit more room - replace 'vintage' with 'vtg'

One more thing. Is the Buy it now okay or too high?

Before I had it set at $125 and $300 respectively. I'm not sure that an appropriate number is.

crazy question, but did you get these in the same place as the 1976 olympics jacket? I'm looking at photos now of those fighters, seeing if i can find someone wearing those shoes!

too fun!

Picked up at the same place at different times. If it was from the olympics it would answer alot of questions. However, with the sheer number of lbs that are processed it would be extremely serendipitous for these two items to be owned by the same person.

$5 shipping discount for Defunkd forum members. If you do bid, let me know so that I can edit the invoice.

how many watchers?

Only 8. 3 of whom started watching in the first hour of the listing, so I assume that it's people from here.

I have more people watching this item: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... :MESELX:IT

There doesn't appear to be alot of interest. Right now it looks like it's going to a shoe collector in France.

Jimmy, thank you so much for the pricing advice.

The item ended today for $129.50 (as opposed to the $125 fixed price that I initially put up there) and I won't have to pay the 12.5% for a fixed price auction. :D

I can't believe that people are willing to pay so much for old stuff.

The shoes did very well! Congratulations Bubba!

The denim jacket on the other hand, meh. I have had such bad luck with denim, I am very skeptical to pick them up these days.

I actually picked that jacket up from a local thrift store. I just felt like I needed to have it for some reason, but it never really suited me. I would have been happy to get the opening bid of $10 for either item, I'm thrilled to have actually made a profit on them.
