Condition of vintage band shirts

Post by brainiac5 »

Hi everyone! I've held on to some band shirts from the 90's, hoping someday I might fit into them again. I think... I'm ready to abandon that dream. I was in a band and wore the hell out of them, so they aren't in good condition, but I wondered how much that affected the value? I see my Sonic Youth shirt one bay for over a grand - but while the graphic is more or less intact, it's tattered at the bottom from being up against a guitar strap. I mostly have found sellers with shirts in comparatively pristine condition - do shirts in that condition still attract buyers?

Hello! So condition is important, and typically the value drops the worse condition a piece is in - but they can be sought after in varying degrees of condition - including distressed.

So it would be a case by case thing, snaps some photos and paste them here and we'll give you some feedback.

Cheers
