New Here! Have a tshirt to show and get opinions on

Post by LK369 »

Hi, I recently starting selling vintage clothing of all kinds (OrangeVelvetVTG on Etsy) and have come across several vintage tees. Identifying and pricing them seems so daunting so I'm glad I found this site and forum.

I currently have this t-shirt that I would love some info on. Just by its feel and condition I can tell it's from the 80s... it is well-loved, soft, and thin. Features a 360degree printing of these bands: Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Poison, and Motley Crue. What could this be from? I also need help with pricing on this because I can't find anything like it. Thanks!

Unfortunately, this is all that's left of the tag.

Thanks - typical of a bootleg to have a cut or generic tag. Could be early 90s. Whats the pit to pit measurement?

Its cool - its not licensed - but still lots of value there. Reminds me of the all over print punk shirts with every punk band logo.

Id price it high to start with offers and see what rolls in. Youll definitely have lots of views with all those bands in the listing title.

Thanks. It is 18" pit to pit and narrows a little at the waist. Definitely fits more like a small-medium than a large. I'll probably do like you said, list it high and see what offers I get.

I made the mistake of pricing too low on my t-shirt find, which was my first sale... a 1986 Run DMC Raising Hell tour shirt. I just saw where the person I sold to re-sold and made a better profit than me  Trying to learn and not make that mistake again.

*edited to add: that Run DMC tshirt came from the same person's collection so that gives me a little hope. ;)

With an 18" chest I would say it's 80s. Good luck, let us know how it does.
