What's It Worth? Strange 80s "Attack Rabbits" Military Tee

Post by TimeForMemories »

Picked this one up today. Seems 80s to me because of the tag, the feel, the size (tagged medium, but measures 25.5" long and 18" pit to pit), and 50/50 poly/cotton. The USS McInerney FFG-8 was deployed to the Middle East from October 1984 to March 1985. But it was also deployed to the Middle East in 1991. The graphic also looks more 80s style than 90s to me. Back is blank. Thoughts on my suspicions would be appreciated!

Also, what would you price something like this at? Thanks!

It might even be an 80s tee and a 90s print. Tough to say but I wouldnt worry one way or a another. This will prob go to someone in the navy or military collector who wont care what decade. $50 I'd do. Find these types of tees can take time to sell but they eventually do.

Like Jimmy said it can take a long time to find the right buyer. Personally, I've never had much luck with military squadron shirts, even ones with awesome graphics, likely because I was impatient (meaning giving up after 3-4 months). IMO, someone who wasn't part of these units wants to be seen as a military "poser" by wearing one, even as a gesture of respect. Thus, you have to wait for someone who has a direct affiliation with the unit, which can sometimes take years.

Awesome, thanks for the info guys! I don't have a problem waiting for the right buyer to come along. I do that with most of my tees rather than listing them at the lowest for immediate sales.

I ran it through the wash because it had a lot of dirt on the surface and it washed the tag blank so that's a bit of a bummer, but at least I have the pic so I still have the info and can say what happened.
