I found this Sneakers t-shirt last week. Any thoughts on value? How would I market this? Thanks for any input.

I've never sold a shirt like this, but think it may need to be relisted several times, or put in a store with the right keywords. The fact that it's a vintage Sneakers shirt/tag probably won't carry as much weight as it would for this target market (though I could be wrong). I'd put a BIN for $25, and lower it if it doesn't sell the first time.

BTW, there's nothing really "offensive" about this shirt IMO. It's not anti-Jesus, but the opposite. To each his own belief. Though I could be offended at the tackiness of some religious shirts I see in thrift stores (i.e. I saw a Jesus shirt with a Reeses candy logo). Using Christ or any other religious figure to make a buck is a bit offensive. This one is a little different...probably made by a church way back when.

Not meant to be offensive for anyone who believes in Jesus, nevertheless, unsettling. But so is a statue of a cross with Jesus pinned to it. Another angle of reminding believers Jesus loves and died for them.

The saying is all over religious sites as a favorite anonymous quote.

But religious tees of any sort can be offensive to certain people.

BIN I think. I'll post this in the forum tomorrow and get more to weigh in.

Thanks, FiftyFiftyMan and JimmyJ.

I'm not a religious person, but I thought the lightheartedness of the t-shirt might be offensive to some, so I opted to put a disclaimer just in case.

Zero value to 99.9% of vintage t-shirt collectors. Most wouldn't even pay $.50 for it.

I think that's probably a bit harsh. Sure, it's not the best shirt in the world, but it's certainly not junk. I can pretty much guarantee that there's a market for something like this one. I usually sell around 300 vintage tees every month and I'd say at least 20% of those are shirts that wouldn't be deemed highly desirable to "collectors" but for the average vintage t-shirt buyer, or someone just looking for a weird shirt for themselves, as a gift or just a comfortable tee to wear around, I'd say this one should be an easy $20-$25. You'll probably have to sit on it for a while as a buy it now/good till cancelled, but I'm sure the right buyer will eventually come along and be happy to pay the asking price.

There's definitely Christians out there who appreciate vintage tees. My girlfriend for example.
