Hello all,

I am in possession of two KLF/JAMs waterproof ponchos. They were from this event in August 2017 when the KLF (also known as 'The JAMs') made a return 23 years after they infamously burned £1,000,000 for an art project.

Only 300 people were at the event. Tickets sold out quickly. The two ponchos are slightly different, the material feels different and the colour of one is lighter whereas one is darker. But both are yellow, say 'Toxteth Day of the Dead' on the back with the KLF 'Pyramid speaker' logo on it, and have the JAMs logo on the front.

Toxteth Day of the Dead was the culmination of the last day of the three-day event, where participants painted their faces as skulls and marched in these ponchos / raincoats in an unlicensed parade which culminated in a pyramid bonfire burning. Pictures of the event can be seen here: TOXTETH DAY OF THE DEAD

I have the certificate signed by Cauty & Drummond of the KLF from this event which I could use to prove authenticity. Although I would not sell those.

Do you think these items could be worth anything to any collectors? What could they be worth?

Thanks for sharing. I love all things related to KLF. Being a raver in the 1990s, love their tunes, but later just became fascinated with the PR stunts and general hijinxery.

Their vintage t-shirts are now super valuable, and I'm kicking myself for selling them a decade ago. They often go in the $500+ range.

I only have one shirt of theirs remaining and I had to settle for an early 2000s one because the OGs are so scarce.

That said, these aren't yet vintage, so might be a bit premature to sell em.

I also can't find any instance of one selling, so it's really tough to say. But definitely worth something to collectors, did they say how many were made?

Also looks like there were two versions?
