Great blog topic! I've actually wondered about this for years; for all the SW fanatics I know (it closely rivals the ST fanatics btw, but I'm from THAT generation haha) I have yet to have more than a handful ask about an authentic SW t from the 80's...let alone the 70's
In fact, I get way more requests for 90's ST "TNG" or X-files stuff than SW t's...what's going on here? In fact, my "request list" for CFL stuff is longer than the one for SW, & I don't get this at all. Are we dealing with a genre of people (SW fans) who simply aren't interested in t's as collectibles? We all know what the toys bring...hey, maybe they just hate "ringers"?
I'd be interested in hearing from other collectors/dealers about their experiences...or lack thereof...with SW t stuff.
Re: Star Wars t shirts?
Ya I think these collectors like to put something on a shelf to display. Same thing with Trekkies - Trek shirts are even less sought after - Ive had some great early ones over the years but they were always hard to move.
