Hello,

Basically I'm looking for any of the shirts on the top 30 list here on the site, but there are some specifics that are not on the list that I want to list, and some that are that I want to highlight. I'm looking for the following vintage skate shirts:

1. Jeff Kendall "Graffiti" (circa 86-87)
2. Kevin Harris "Mountie" (as seen on top 30 list)
3. Rob Roskopp "III" (circa 86). Or any Roskopp 1-4 shirt.
4. John Lucero "X-1" (I've got the X-2 shirt from '87, but need this one from '86)
5. Rodney Mullen "Chessboard" (as seen on top 30 list)
6. Per Welinder (#8 on top 30 list)
7. Steve Steadham (the Powell Peralta from thetop 30 list)

If you have any of these contact me at miamibryce@gmail.com

Thanks!

Brycam

JJ. Love that post, very nice work! Interesting to see others favorite skate tees. p.s. Was murder a disqualifying factor in this list?

Whoa. I suddenly feel the urge to stop biting my nails.

I didn't have a lot of input as to the list - I had to get help from someone who wasn't a poser like me and actually knew the true scope of vintage skate shirts.

Thanks frank, i liked that one. Rising Son: The Legend of Skateboarder Christian Hosoi is good/depressing in the same sort of way.

As if anyone needs another reason to see police academy 4. ;)
I think i got all the skate doubles figured out, but not sure on Rat from "fast times"....lance mountain? I'm gonna go do a bomb drop off my neighbors winnebago...maybe when i get back someone will have confirmed or denied my suspicion.

Pretty sure Steve Caballero was Mark Ratner's stunt double. Too bad they weren't jamming side 1 of Led Zepplin IV while shreddin'

Tragic story, but worth watching.

It will be interesting to see if he makes parole next year.

Whoa, I just read about that now...see I know nothing. Are his shirts worth more or less?

I'm not sure whether that affected the price of his shirts one way or another...i haven't seen an original for years. Would like one for my collection, but would be less stoked (sorry) to wear it due to due to the fact that he is a murderer. At least a couple of the other 80s skate icons took strange and tragic turns too...
Hosoi was put in prison for meth trafficking and Jeff Phillips committed suicide.

Jay Adams had a rough go of it too. Drugs, prison, etc. He's clean now and doing well from what I hear.

Want: Rodney Mullen "Chessboard" T-shirt.

Hey all,

Love to get my hands on a Rodney Mullen "Chessboard" T-shirt (as seen on top 30 list - link below), large or medium would be superb. Lost mine on Daytona Beach back in the 80's, think I left it in the sand after a swim, I've been miffed about it ever since.
