most repro'd shirt
I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on what shirt they believe has been reproduced the most to date. (either sellers being up front that its a repro or trying to pass a fake off as vintage). My two cents, The guns n roses banned "rape scene" shirt. What does everyone think?
Re: most repro'd shirt
I will tell you this. The most overproduced shirts in the history of vintage are:
1) DARE t shirts
2) I'M ShipShape
3) ARMY grey t shirts
Can I get an Amen on that my vintage brotha's?

When I was picking it was disney and Warner Bros tourist tees from 90s and beyond =
As for repro'd vintage...that guns shirt was done by some counterfeiters years back, but they did a piss poor job, colors were way off. The true vintage one help it's value despite the market being flooded with fakes.
Are we talking licensed repros by Amplified and Junk food? If that's the case the GNR shirt that has been abused is the one we're selling the true vintage version of, with the flag on the front.
It's not popular at all because it was reproduced legally and seen on every tom, dick and harry.

Re: most repro'd shirt
I should of specified i was going for non-licensed repro discussion. People claiming is vintage when its really not. More or less which ones do you think alot of people "not in the know" have been fooled by shady sellers. Although licensed talk is interesting too!

Re: most repro'd shirt
I see modern repros as our version of the 70s iron-on craze. It's our way of getting our favorite designs onto shirts that we can buy cheaply and wear to hell without worrying too much.
Of course, counterfeiter who try to sell their modern repros on ebay for hundreds of $ are another matter.
