0 Feedback Bidders

Post by maxvintage »

Has anyone else noticed the amount of 0 Feedback bidders buying stuff lately. The last 2 auction cycles I've run, I've had multiple 0 Feedback bidders, all from Thailand, bidding and winning items. Immediately after winning, I've gotten an email from them saying they can't pay. WTF?

I've also noticed that lots of 0 FB bidders are bidding ridiculous numbers on some rare shirts. Anyone else dealt with this crap?

you can set your listings to not allow bidders under a specific amount of feedback.

Really? I thought it was just that they couldn't have a certain number of unpaid claims against them?

Yeah, that's country related, but not feedback.

I did some research yesterday and found that in the "my account" section, you can create an exclusion list so that you don't have to do it on every listing individually.

you can check that box that reads "have a feedback score equal or lower than (#)"

I think I've seen what you're talking about. I'm sure I set something a long time ago and never looked at it again.

I usually don't like to exclude any bidder. Although it can be annoying to deal with the deadbeat bidder, I'd rather have all bid who want to bid.

You can ONLY block low feedback bidders if they have a -1 or less feedback score (which nowadays means virtually no one since buyers can only get positive feedback). You can't block new or low-feedback bidders.

You CAN, however, block bidders with 5 feedbacks or less from buying X amount of your items within a given time period, which is helpful to limit the amount of scamming from one buyer.
