Does anyone know what this is from? It's on an 80s Hanes shirt, thanks.

I figured the convention was in the UK, but then I found another blog entry of his about being a tape trader which put him and the convention in Minnesota. [http://www.from-the-archive.co.uk/2012/ ... -days.html] Here's a little bit about doings at the conventionAs far as watching Hartnell and Pertwee episodes in the summer probably goes back to when I was working on the convention Polaris Con II in the summer of 1989 and Hartnell stories were shown on one channel and Pertwee on another. Classic Doctor Who episodes on 2 separate channels!
Then I found a listing about the convention in a text-only printout of a 1989 issue of Starfleet Communique, a fanzine put out by Starfleet, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. Apparently you can become a member of Starfleet for a $5 fee. I was tempted, but...Mike was kind enough to bring me stuff that I was showing in the Whoniversity video room that weekend. One item that was insanely popular was Shada. This was the Ian Levine version that had the text for the scenes that didn’t exist. We publicized at the convention we were going to show it. We probably had about 30 to 40 people in the hotel room we showed it in. It was crazy and a lot of fun to watch as people enjoyed seeing something they never seen before. It was at this convention I started to meet other people from places other than MN to get copies of stuff.
This issue is from the wrong year, but I dig the artwork with this very serious looking dude on the cover: And the last thing I came across was a little blurb about Polaris Con 3, which took place in Bloomington, MN (about 20 minutes from St. Paul) in 1994. This was from the Minnesota Science Fiction Society site [http://mnstf.org/einblatt/einblatt_1994.pdf] mystery solved, maybe...POLARIS CON June 30-July 2, 1989 ST. Paul, MN Hotel.
