charles manson t-shirt signed by gg allin

Post by hermosavtg »

This has been all over the tumbler-verse for a while, but I havent seen it here, the official vintage t-shirt aficionado site. Anyone have opinions?

Being how it is signed by GG....I'm a little concerned about the origin of the brown and reddish colored stains. :?

gg allin was a legend when I was a kid in art school. His "shows" consisted of him mostly nude, shoving a banana up his ass, as well as defecating on the stage and throwing it at the audience. Check out "GG Allin HATED"

That documentary came out in the 90s, and he went from way underground obscurity to hipster hero/joke combination overnight. One of my favourite alternative video stores used to sell GG Allin dolls, the packaging of which invited you to piss, shit on, and physically abuse them. Yikes. I'd wager a good chunk of people who own Allin shirts don't own any of his music- the legend alone is sufficient.

Ha. Jimmyj, GG did predict his death every year. He always said he was going to kill himself on a certain date. (Halloween I think?) He never did and took a lot of crap about it.

I've been reading through old posts and just came across this. I was not a gg fan, but I happened to be at his last show. It was at some place on the lower east side called the gas station, or gaslight, or gasoline alley. Gas something. I never actually made it inside, which was fine, because it was clearly chaos with shit and blood being thrown around, and people running out of the club and up the street. It's a long story, so if anyone's interested, let me know and I'll post the details.

Otherwise, my recollection is that gg was supposed to kill himself at a halloween show in chicago. He was going to have a six gun revolver, shoot five of the audience members, and then use the last bullet for himself. I had a friend of a friend who was hoping to be one of the five lucky audience members to catch a bullet. People are nuts.
