Vintage Lou Reed Shirt Rock n Roll Animal

Post by wesselmast »

I’ve never seen this been printed on a FOTL; collar also looks a bit off to me.

Let me know what you guys think!

Cheers

What's the pit to pit?

These were really heavily faked at one point a decade+ ago.

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the reply. On grailed the measurements are stated as:
PTP 22 INCH
Length 27 INCH

It also has an ‘authenticated’ button on the listing. https://grailed.app.link/?channel=Paste ... NDAzIn0%3D

Let me know!

Yeah, Grailed's authentications don't exactly have very much respect in and around the vintage t-shirt community. We traced several fakes that were authenticated and sold.

First - 22" pit is outside of the range for this tag.

go here, find similar tags, that are L - and click Authentication data - and you'll likely not find one that breaks 21"

Second, I'm used to this print as being 70s/80s. Those have two colors. This is a dumbed down version with only one. Not sure if a 90s version was actually ever legit released. But, given it's one color, as previously mentioned, these have always been a huge target for headshops, counterfeiters, etc.

There also looks to be some funny business around the tag seam.

Personally, I would not buy this.
