“Do you think this Metallica Doris T-shirt is authentic?

Size L
Shoulder width: 18.9 inches / Body width: 17.7 inches / Length: 23.6 inches / Sleeve length: 7.9 inches

I find the following points suspicious. What do you think?

• I have never seen Pacific Sports used on a Metallica Doris T-shirt.
• Is it common for Pacific Sports to be used on Metallica T-shirts?
• Is this Pacific Sports tag from the 1990s?
• The length seems short for a size L.”

I think I can see it but it's double-stitched all around right?

I found another Metallica tee in our DB with a Pacific Tag

the other one in our DB is clearly not an OG t-shirt.

And found another Metallica Pacific combo, from 2004.

So on one hand this is vintage now, on the other, it's not from 1994. But Metallica is well-known to reissue and use their old copyrights:

Thank you for your comment.
・The Doris T-shirt in the photo does have double stitching.

・Regarding the T-shirt from this link:https://www.defunkd.com/product/ST14007 ... o-t-shirt/

Does this mean that this T-shirt is a fake? Could you please clarify what “Repro” refers to?

•So, does this mean that while there is a possibility that a double-stitched Pacific T-shirt with a print could be authentic, it could also be fake?

In your opinion, what is the likelihood that it is authentic versus fake?

We recently did a post about the confusing definitions:

https://www.defunkd.com/vintage-t-shirt-terminology/

I haven't done a ton of digging on Pacific or the print, but it appears to be a legit, reissue by Metallica from the 2004 era. So it's also vintage. But it is not from 1994.

Modern re-print. Not older than 5 year i think. The print is darker and more color full then org-89. More similar to the 1994 print.

Are there any features that make it look like it’s from within the last 5 years? Is it the stitching or the print?
Do you think this was printed by Metallica, or do you think it’s a fake?

It wasn't printed in the last five years.

10 years ago. So at absolute minimum, it's 10 years old.

But If you use Google image search on this tag, a ton of results have it on shirts dated in the early 2000s. See below.

Tom, always love when others throw in their two cents, but lets keep it evidence-based please and show proof, and do the legwork.

Cheers!
