I know that the ONEITA cotton tags were popular in the 90's, but does anybody know how early in the 80's this tag was produced?

Possibly as early as 1986/87. I had a Paradise/Western Digital tee with this exact tag at https://www.etsy.com/listing/524409784/ ... rd-t-shirt. Paradise Graphic Cards was purchase by Western Digital in 1986 and became Western Digital Imaging and the tee seemed to be promoting this change.

I have a very similar tag, but American made, anyone know what year this may be from?

That one is definitely 90s. It is similar to the one I found on a Judge Dredd movie promo tee earlier last year.
