far left - I think that's 40s. According to Frank's comments below they changed it to Russell Athletic in 1960. But something tells me they flip flopped around with the name. Your tag seems 70s-ish. Is there anything printed on it?

The shirt isn't anything special (unless you're into collecting improper use of apostrophes), but I thought the tag was cool. I was thinking 70s also. The shirt definitely has that 70s feel, but was having trouble finding info on Russell Southern to match that. 100% cotton and measures 19.5" pit to pit with tag reading XL.

that particular russell tag is 1970-1972. no later than 1972 though.

Russell used the Russell Southern name in advertising their jerseys at least up to 1968, and probably into the 70's. So the early '70's date is probably correct.
