So I recently scored a massive amount of deadstock Rip Curl T-Shirts, Tanks, & Singlets from around the late 70s-mid 80's.
There's heaps like the ones in the photos and probably another 50 other designs.

Just wondering if anyone has experience dealing with multiple of the same deadstock shirts?
Obviously when something is a one off people seem to find it more desirable and it can command a high price.
Do you think I can still ask high prices for these or should I keep the prices low because I'd be flooding the market?

Damn good q I've never had these on my radar - but surf stuff is in demand. A quick check in the past listings a similar one sold for $50. Seems like the plain Jane ones fall flat but these all over radical ones will probably do well in the 50 to 100 range.

Ive had a few deadstock hauls and its awesome to be able to repost. Just list each design one at a time.

Dealers in sports & other memorabilia are sometimes put in the same quandry when they come across multiples of seemingly "rare" items. Experts in the field almost all say that the best practice is to space out the auctions/listings (in this case at LEAST a few months for identical designs). Perceived rarity is what usually keeps the price up. If the same shirt gets relisted on a weekly basis, it raises eyebrows and lowers prices buyers are willing to pay.

I wasn't exactly looking for these but when given the opportunity to buy I couldn't really say no. Rip Curl are from my home state so it makes sense that there'd be lots still around here.

The main issue is working out how to sell them all and maximize profit. For example, There's one T-Shirt that I have 30+ of (same design, same size) so if I were to space out the listings it could take 10 years to sell them all.
Most of the other designs I have around 5 or 6 of so spacing them out would be fine for them.

I'll try listing a few different ones soon. Will be interesting to see how they go.

Fun follow up to this...

Through selling some of this online, I made a contact who works at Rip Curl Head Office.
We set up a meeting and I took a bunch of this stuff with me.
Ended up selling them roughly $2000 worth of stock.
I've still got HEAPS left but this deal got rid of 60 or so items in one shot.

It was also just pretty cool selling stuff back to the company that made it in the first place.

amazing! how did the pieces do on their own?

They are selling well in the physical shop. Especially in summer (it's winter here now). Hardly sold any online though.
