I’m looking for help appraising two vintage band shirts from the ‘90s. I’ve searched online but haven’t found much info on them, especially the TOOL shirt. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
1. Red Hot Chili Peppers (RHCP) Vintage Shirt
Year: 1992
Brand: Giant
Size: XL
Measurements:
Shoulder width: 56 cm (22 inches)
Length (collar to hem): 73 cm (28.7 inches)
Pit to pit: 54 cm (21.2 inches)
Condition: Very good, with no flaws. Prints are in great shape.
Notes: 1992 MOEBETOBLAME MUSIC under the print on the front side. I’ve seen similar RHCP shirts sell for a range of prices, but I’d love to get an expert opinion on its value.
2. TOOL ‘Undertow’ Longsleeve (Rare?)
Year: 1992/1993 (presumably)
Brand: Fruit of the Loom
Size: Likely XXL (tag is worn and hard to read)
Measurements:
Shoulder width: 58 cm (22.8 inches)
Length (collar to hem): 79 cm (31.1 inches)
Pit to pit: 57 cm (22.4 inches)
Condition: The prints are in good condition, with the word Undertow printed on each sleeve. However, the sleeve cuffs and the collar are slightly frayed.
Design: Features the naked woman artwork, which I believe was shot by Dean Karr.
Rarity: I haven’t been able to find any images of this exact shirt design online, which makes me wonder how rare it is.
If anyone has info on the rarity or estimated value of these shirts, I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance for your help!
