Hi all,
I picked this a few weekends ago and just wanted to share it on here. In researching it, I believe it's from the 60s, but I don't have much of a clue on the value. The ones I've seen range from $300 to $1,100 depending on style and condition. Any thoughts?

Nice. Race worn? the back could have significance - did you dig up anything about it?
Anything Harley from the 50s or 60s flies - and leather jacket collectors will bid on this too.
Ask the company they are still around....and on eBay..probably get a kick out of seeing it.

Re: Vintage Bates Motorcycle Racing Jacket
Yeah, funny to see them selling things on ebay.
It was a steal at a local yard sale for $20 that's for sure. I was so excited that I forgot to ask the guy any info about it. However, I do know that it was his old racing jacket and based on his age, it had to be late 50s or early 60s. Maybe I should go knock on his door and get the scoop.
Don't plan on selling this one though, it's just so cool and I can't wait to wear it. Fits perfect too!

It sold a few years back in the 700 range if I'm not mistaking.
