My new vintage blog

Post by hermosavtg »

All self promotion is shameless, so here goes.

After being asked by more than a couple people "you still got that blog?" I'm decided on restarting the vintage blog thing, but this time on Wordpress (huge improvement over blogger). Hey! I even got my own domain name mapped, so this time it's for real. I appreciate your comments, advice, maybe even criticism:

I'm a Blackhawks fan!

Yeah, i feel stuck with blogspot now, i guess i'll have to switch to WP at some point. I'm not a huge fan of learning new computing stuff.

Hey - if you're interested in a rare Blackhawks replica jersey sweater...probably from the 40s or 50s, let me know.

I found one in one of my bundle hunts.

Very small - it wouldn't fit you would be more of a piece to frame.

I was about to post it but then the Hawks lost during the playoffs so decided to save it for this season.

i'd love a vintage Hawks sweater but i'm broke as a joke. I'm trying to sell everything in my house to pay for an air conditioning repair- kind of mandatory in Phoenix! The bill is $2700.

I've visited Phoenix once. It seemed like the most inhospitable environment i've ever seen a city located. I guess I'm spoiled in Hermosa Beach where the average high is around 77 degrees.

Blogger sucks! It hasn't been updated since about 2004, Google has abandoned it for new new thing.

Thanks for the comments all! I will be posting several times weekly!

Like Chicago, Phoenix sucks 6 months out of the year. But winter and spring here make it all worthwhile.

I'm switching over to wordpress, wish me luck!

BTW, if i were to buy a domain name, could i just plunk my blog down there using wordpress?

You sure can, just use the domain mapping service, which cost about $10 a year. It's in the "upgrades" section in your dashboard.

Sweet! whos your host? you gotta set up the email addys with them. I specified a "catchall" email address...so someone can literally send an email to frankkilledjohnhughes@bulldogvintage.com and you will get it...so long as @bulldogvintage.com is correct.
