Howdy

Post by madjake »

Hi, my name is Jake, I have been collecting and selling band shirts for about a year with mediocre results. I have come to realize that vintage is the way to go. I have a small collection of vintage shirts to sell and this site has helped a lot! I was also wondering if anyone has any information on Adidas tags. I have what looks like a vintage track suit but I can not find any resources on how to tell the age. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Welcome! Adidas tags baffle me, with the exception of the ones from the 70s - 80s and 90s even early 00s when they repro'd everything seem to blur together. Never seen a resource out there, start a thread!

Post a pic of the tag. I don't come across many Adidas items, but I know the blue print on white tag from the eighties has been good to me. A couple weeks ago I sold a pair of just track pants for 25 bucks.

You can't go wrong if it is "made in USA", unless it is ugly. And yes, I agree the blue on white label is always good.

Oh, and some early 90s (possibly late 80s) jackets were blue on white label and made in Taiwan. I have seen the Taiwan jackets go for $20 bucks and some change. I have one myself.
