De La Soul 1991 Dated concert shirt

Post by Inmind »

Hey guys, I'm not exactly sure how much a shirt like this would be worth. I see Jimmy's De La Soul shirt on here for 3K and others seem to sell for $200-$350.

It has obviously never been washed, but as you can see it has some sort of smear near the bottom left side of the front print (any hits to get rid of this without washing?)

Any Ideas what it might be worth?

Thanks!!

Also, Auction or BIN or BIN OBO?

I'm always a bit confused about what my best bet is for potentially valuable tees, as I don't want to sell it for too cheap, ya know?

Starting next week I'll begin listing 10-15 shirts a day on ebay and for cheaper here.

wow nice one! i'll put this as a post on our networks, see what people say. The only knock against it is the yellow, I've always found it to be one of the least popular colors.

You could do an auction, rare hip hop tees seem to do quite well - but I think you could always sit on it for a better price. Figure it would fetch $200-$400ish. But wouldn't surprise me if more.

Mine is priced not to sell, as De La is my fav.

Thanks Jimmy!

Yeah, I realized after reading a bit on the blog that they were your favorite and you probably didn't really want to sell it.

Any tips for cleaning that smudge off?

Thanks again as always! I'm really looking forward to becoming a member of the collective!

looks like a print mishap - is it the ink? something brushed over it before it was fully dry. In which case, it's there to stay. You could use a blow out gun - which are for screen printers to get rid of mishaps...but you'd end up effecting the design too.

I've got a yellow De La Soul shirt too that has been signed. Glad to hear it might be worth so much. I will post in its own thread.
