Unfortunately not from 1986. Delta was incorporated in 1999 - this is likely 2005+ era. A true vintage M would not fit large - it would be a small or even xs by today's standards. And in 86 would be poly/cotton, not 100% cotton.

Might be some value there still but nothing substantial.

Jimmy - You're probably right about this shirt, but is that true about Delta? I don't have an RN# in front of me, but I once found a Jimmy Buffett shirt with a Delta tag that looked like it was from 1992.

Im having deja vu on this - not fully knowing when the first tags surfaced - I guess it could have been in circulation before they incorporated - but last time I believe it was only a year or so. 7 years seems like a stretch. It also seems odd that the company wouldnt boast about being older than it is - all of the info online says 1999.

I think in this case its likely a more modern reprint of a popular concert for people that outgrew their 90s physique.

Lets make a mental note to keep an eye out on Delta tags/dates.

It sounds like they were incorporated in 1999, but I think they've been making shirts for longer, and around in one form or another since 1903.

Some of these shirts, especially with a Made in the USA tag, have to be older than 1999.

Good eye! The 50/50 tee especially. Maybe late 80s? Funny...as always think of Delta as lame - and since its still around and the tags look relatively the same....I was blinded by tag discrimination!

Maybe 1999 and beyond it went into mass production.

I was wrong!

Although I still think the Slayer tag is 2000+...you?
