Help IDing this Fruit of the Loom label
My best guess is '60s but I'm not totally sure. Anyone know for sure?
Re: Help IDing this Fruit of the Loom label
Early - mid 70s. Here's one that's slightly different from late 70s that appeared on quite a few 80s tees.

Then there's this:

they've been around since 1851 - I know I've seen older tags I gotta keep my eyes peeled and do up a new entry in the brandpedia.

Ah yes, Barry Manilow always comes to the rescue. You're a gentleman and a scholar. Thanks, man!

Good things happen when we raid the wardrobe of a Manilow fan!
Something I discovered while digging for the answers - Screen Stars was officially launched in 1980 by FOTL. There had been some questions as to it being around in the late 70s although we could never definitively tie it to any dated tee. According to a timeline I found, 1980 and beyond. And I was also uncertain if it was originally owned by FOTL, or purchased by them - turns out they spawned it as a blank for the booming screen print industry.

What's your opinion on this one Jimmy? Weird to be making Bicentennial shirts years after it happened, but 1976 is super early too.

I think you're right...1776 - it's patriot sentiment from the american revolution:

I dug up where I got that 1980 thing from. There's a few historical timelines for FOTL that include the 1970s and don't mention SS. This one goes beyond 70s:

Also didn't realize that the generic 1970s tag was likely the precursor to the Screen Stars tag:
