Deep Purple #37

Post by brokenzippr »

Anyone seen this Deep Purple shirt before?

Old Dodger Sportswear label, thinking early-mid 70's.

Probably just a sports team, a community softball team from work or something like that. The number on the back gives it away, so does being printed on a Dodger sportswear blank, those were almost always for amateur/little league sports teams. Definitely has nothing to do with the band, probably just a fan that named the team after the band or something. Shouldn't have too much value I wouldn't think

My original thoughts too. I held out hope that 37 had some significance to the band, but after some searching couldn't find any. Can't find any similarity with the earlier logos either.

Doh!

Ha! Was afraid of that. Still a cool shirt, just a shame it's a 30-32 large. If it was a high-fructose large, I'd just rock it down the street.

Thanks for the insight.

Just saving face. Thought the subject matter was especially appropriate since you guys rained a little shitstorm on my last Deep Purple shirt. :)
