I have had a hard time finding out information on this guy too, any ideas on year or value? There's no tag (it doesn't look like there ever was one) and I haven't been able to find very much info.

Re: Howdy Doody Time shirt
According to good ol' wikipedia ringers were introduced in the mid 60s*. But there was tons of 50s nostalgia in the 70s (hence Happy Days) - so this could be a product of the 70s.

I don't recall the character, but I've seen him before. My vote is for 80s. It seems like its a good size and NBC was using the name NBC Enterprises in the 80s.
Have vintage Elvis tees? Let me know!

I did a little digging on "NBC Enterprises" too - but didn't help because that name has been attached to productions since the mid 60s...up until as late as 2003. Where did you find it was only 80s?

80s wasn't as ringer heavy - but I guess that doesn't matter because if they were going throwback they would put it on a ringer. But the fact that there's no tag or evidence of one makes me think earlier - all tee companies were branding like mad by then.
Check this eBay listing - '71 Howdy book tagged "NBC Enterprises."

What we need is a way to date shirts in a lab by the fabric and print. Anyone a lab technician? heh

Re: Howdy Doody Time shirt
Nothing scientific, the Wikipedia listing for NBC showed alot of shows from the eighties upto 1998 under the NBC name. If it dates back to the 60s that definitely makes it more complicated.

This sort of seems more like late 70s to me. I could picture Dee Dee Ramone wearing it!
